uakari120 for the hint that I can upload naughty pictures on blogspot! :D I never knew what to do with all the porn I drew (photobucket didn't like it very much) and ended up sending it via mail to people, but as things are, I decided to do a massive upload on old stuff! <3
Warning: No graphic depiction of "private parts," but, uhhh... sexual situations? XD
Let's do this in chronological order! :D Save for the first one, all of them are drawn from references.
#1 This isn't Shibari and it's OLD, but let's upload it, anyway. XD Drawn on 19th of April 2011.
#2 Reference used. (Sloppily used, but let's be honest and link it. XD') Basically, I wanted to know more about Shibari and started drawing it. From here, I worked my way through different photographs, drawing in order to find out more about the knots, where the ropes go, and how to compose pictures containing shibari. All of the below were drawn on the 7th and 8th of June 2011.
#3 Again, drawn from a photo. I JUST MADE THE GIRLS MEN. Interested in knots, anatomy, and composition.
#4 Reference used. Interested in how to position ropes in suspense so as to not cut into the flesh, too strongly. I still find suspense extremely beautiful. And Fai bendy enough to pull it off. :p
#5 Reference used. HAD to draw this one, god, the way the ropes are used to draw attention and contrast with the curves of the thighs!!Read: I only wanted to draw Fai's butt.
#6 Reference used. Loved the non-sexual, relaxed atmosphere in this one. I'm such a fan of non-sexual shibari, as of many things that centers around the beauty of the human body.
#7 ...reference used. Can't link this one, as it was, uh, a video. *coughs*The actress looked much less happy than Fai does. WHATEVER. XD *throws at you and runs*

Date: 2011-06-30 05:44 pm (UTC)And while it's true that you've made Fai godawfully flexible and beautiful (ESPECIALLY THAT "SUSPENDED" PIC, HOLY /SHIT/) I think it's picture #3 that is the most striking. There's something about how large and muscled he is... the bindings bring him into a posture of submission and beauty that he'd never otherwise achieve. But by knowing the character and looking at the facial expression you gave him, I just feel like he's thinking "submissive, my sculpted ass" and that inherent rebelliousness just make the drawing even MORE powerful and striking.
...and now I feel stupid. So I'll finish by saying how feckin' adorable it is that Fai looks so happy in the last one.

Date: 2011-06-30 07:57 pm (UTC)That's EXACTLY why I like tying Kurogane up, so much -- it's against his instincts, it's against his usual defensiveness -- it's a contrast. It's unguarded and relaxed and trusting, and at the same time, it is very, very clear that he is only in this position because he allows it and that he will not be fucked with. (Uh. Well. Only in the very literal sense of the word.) That's what this is all about, to me, the contrast of skin against rope, of the decision to be passive, of closeness that seems to be forced but isn't.
I really like to think that Fai understands that he's being appreciated... because if Kurogane ties him up, it's all about appreciation. ♥♥ *loves you forever*

He knows Fai's there before the blond touches him, feather-light brushes of fingertips against his side, the heat of his body against Kurogane's back. He feels open and exposed, naked and vulnerable for it, and his cheeks are hot with a mix of shame and arousal. His fingers tense around the ropes binding him to the ceiling, and he tucks his face behind one aching bicep, hiding it from sight as Fai nuzzles the fine hairs at the nape of his neck.
"See something you like?" he asks, gruff.
"You," Fai replies, and he can hear the smile in the idiot's voice.

The first flash of light is unexpected and leaves afterimages dancing across his eyelids, and instinctively he tries to twist to find the source. His bonds are tight and secure - why did he ever teach the idiot to do this? - and all he can do is loll his head, hoping he at least looks indignant. His teeth tighten around the gag, already spit-wet, and he narrows his eyes at the mage.
"Sorry," Fai says, although he doesn't sound it. He shakes out the Polaroid. "It's not my fault Kuro-chan looks so good all tied up, though!"
And he grins, triumphant.

His shoulders protest the angle his arms are bound at, but it's a good pain, a clean pain. He keeps his head bowed and his limbs as loose as he can. Fai is a presence at the edge of his vision, fully clothed and prowling, eyes shining catlike in the dim lighting.
The ropes are tight around his chest, but not too tight, and it doesn't even worry him that his throat and belly are exposed. There's only Fai here. It feels like trust.
"I was right," Fai tells him, his voice darkly amused and threaded with want. "The red suits you."
(I'll probably end up doing the rest too, just gotta eat food)

Date: 2011-06-30 06:39 pm (UTC)The bamboo canes are the same shade as Fai's hair, pale in the glinting light. Fai's eyes are half-open and his throat fully bared; only the way the muscles of his shoulders are bunched and his hand, wrapped around the bottom rung, expose how nervous he is.
"Do you trust me?" Kurogane had asked, and Fai had said yes. He is not struggling and his eyes are calm, his fingers loose around the bamboo. He pauses to admire the picture Fai makes, golden and blue and pink, naked and his.
"Okay?" Kurogane asks now, checking, and Fai doesn't even blink before nodding.

"Kuro-sama," Fai says, and his voice is quiet and steady, no hint of teasing. Kurogane tracks his eyes up the mage's body from his one side to the other, admiring; Fai's hips are raised still, but his face is angled toward Kurogane, his cheek pressed against the carpet. His toes wriggle teasingly and his expression is serene, thoughtful almost.
"What is it?" Kurogane asks.
"Are you going to come over here anytime soon?" Fai asks, lifting an eyebrow, and writhes in the blue ropes. Kurogane grins savagely and sits back in his chair.
"I think," he says meditatively, "I'm happy with watching."

Fai has almost drifted off by the time Kurogane gets up to check on him, which doesn't surprise Kurogane that much. He's seen the wizard fall asleep in numerous stupid positions before. He runs his hands lightly over Fai's skin and feels Fai stir, his head rising from its relaxed position.
"Hey," he says. "Feel better?"
Fai hums sleepy agreement and shifts, his ankle jerking against its binding reflexively before he remembers where he is and stills. Kurogane brushes his long hair out of his face and kisses the edge of his jaw, where it segues into his ear.
"Good," Kurogane says.

"Honestly," Fai says, laughing. "Of all the things Kuro-ninja could have learned -"
"Are you done?" Kurogane asks, sliding his arms around Fai's shoulders. He can't see Fai's face but he can hear the sly tone of voice.
"No. I'm admiring Kuro-dom's knotwork."
Kurogane smooths his hands down Fai's chest while he talks, slipping his fingers between the ropes and Fai's skin absently, testing their tightness. He presses his mouth to the back of Fai's head, Fai's hair tickling his nose, as his palms slide down Fai's taut stomach, toward the much-neglected final goal.
"Fuck," Fai pants, and the laughter is gone. Kurogane smiles.

Fai grins at him, lopsided and upside down, and then shifts his weight enough that the whole contraption rocks. Kurogane folds his arms over his chest and glares at him, scowling. It was long past Fai's turn to be bound, but the idiot didn't seem in the slightest bit shamed.
"I can see your cock from here~!" he says lightly.
"... You're ruining the mood!"
"Get over here and fix it, then," Fai says in a voice dropped several octaves, and Kurogane is moving before he thinks.

Seriously, this shows the beauty of the human body. Not only does it capture form but it capture motion, at least the potential for motion. Kurogane and Fai also have this nice, peaceful, come-hither expression in every picture. (I read to many doujinshi with archetypical stereotypes of a screaming/pained uke and a predatory/angry seme... Who honestly wants that?) This is such a nice recourse from the norm.

Ah, yeah, I'm honestly not a fan of those doujinshi. Porn really is allowed to be IC and if you hurt your unsuspecting partner YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! :P

#3 is brilliant :) he looks so relaxed, despite the way he's tied up. It really creates a beautiful, less sexual mood for him. To me, #3 is all about how much he trusts Fai and is comfortable with him
#4 and #6 both look very elegant and suit Fai perfectly :) he looks like he's in his own dream world and is calm and thoughtful.
#7 is my favourite :) I adore them all, of course, but Fai's expression in #7 damn near took my breath away. He really looks like he's enjoying himself (I tried really hard to not make that an innuendo but failed) and they both look so... in love >w<

Date: 2011-07-01 01:51 am (UTC)The ropes are gorgeous. Red and blue and perfect colour contrast, and I love that sense of... freedom this has, that complete and utter trust and loss of inhibition.
That suspended shot of Fai just makes me think of Cirque du Soleil, in a completely non-sexual manner- just the rope and the bamboo, and that easy, flexible sensuality that you've captured in the line of his body.
And Kurogane just looks so relaxed, especially in the third one- relaxed and open, but still this sense of 'I'm waiting' and uhh, can't even think any more. *_*
Their expression says it all really- their bodies are gorgeous and beautifully drawn, the robes and knots highlight the tension of their forms and contrast beautifully against that sense of trust and submission, but those eyes... god. I just can't.

Date: 2011-07-03 10:48 pm (UTC)I think this is actually the first time I've looked at pictures of shibari and not felt at all uncomfortable (usually, I'm just not into bondage all that much). Because this is just amazing. The way they're posed, the expressions on their faces, not to mention how much I want to run my fingers through Fai's hair the way you've drawn it... it's just gorgeous. I agree with the above comments; I think it does really come down to whether you can see that sense of freedom, despite the physical restraint.
My favourite is tied (ohohoho) between #3 and #4, because there's something in the expressions of the two there that just enraptures me. Thanks for sharing these.

And....yeah, both of those are a crapshoot for what fandoms I'm actually into. My tumblr in particular gets updated like crazy, and of late it's been full of a 30 day challenge that's mostly noodling around with original stuff or just general subject matter. [I actually had to go look to see wtf is currently up...] BUT UM. I tend toward stuff including Code Geass, Homestuck, Natsume Yuujinchou, Ai no Kusabi, and recently Kuroko's Basketball and Shingeki no Kyojin. I'm a bit of a butterfly. ;)
