Well into the second book by Patrick Rothfuss, I think I figured out another bit as to why I The Kingkiller Chronicle so much - he's not only a brilliant storyteller, he is like a poet who decided to write a book. And he's not some poet, he's one of the old-school ones, one of those that have the skill to write ballads and epics and truly touching songs. (Very much like his main character, mind you.) I think that's one of the reasons I love shachaai's stories so much, as well - she writes like a poet, too, (though like a very different one,) with the most beautiful wording and timing you could wish for. (I mean, just look at her latest story, Starlight Now... *melts on you*)

AND, as I'm all being sick, with fever and sneezing and stuff and not a single straight thought in my head, I'll now switch off my brain, wrap into a ton of blankets, and watch a new series! (All my thanks to [personal profile] nemothefairy for lending me Lie To Me! :D) Yay for the comforts of being sick! \o/

Oh, dear... sounds you caught a damn cold after all? *ignores germs and sneezing and snuggles anyways* Hope you feel better soon, because being sick just sucks!

This rave review is bad news... ;D I already have tons of books on my imaginary "must-read-NOW"-list that I won´t be able to begin right now... but it sounds wonderful. After you finished with Patrick Rothfuss, I could lend you the first one of the "Bartimaeus"-series Joscha recommended. I read the first chapters and it sounds really promising (just need to find more time to read!).

Now I will let you sleep and watch Dr. Lightman figuring out who stole the bacon by interpreting the twitching of the clowns left finger (or whatever it is he does XD)...

Get better soon! *showers you with chocolate and blankets*

They are such good books, aren't they? I thank my lucky stars that faren made me sit down and read them, because, oh, I haven't read a book that beautiful in a very, very long time. For me, the quality of writing reminds me of The Book Thief (being my most favouritest book by an aussie author and holding a special place in my heart for many reasons) and Namaah's Kiss, which is the first book in a series that I found staggeringly beautiful. <3333

Enjoy your new series, love, and get well soon- being sick isn't fun, and I hope your bug passes quickly enough!
