/sneezes on you all
Well into the second book by Patrick Rothfuss, I think I figured out another bit as to why I The Kingkiller Chronicle so much - he's not only a brilliant storyteller, he is like a poet who decided to write a book. And he's not some poet, he's one of the old-school ones, one of those that have the skill to write ballads and epics and truly touching songs. (Very much like his main character, mind you.) I think that's one of the reasons I love shachaai's stories so much, as well - she writes like a poet, too, (though like a very different one,) with the most beautiful wording and timing you could wish for. (I mean, just look at her latest story, Starlight Now... *melts on you*)
